Julie Mehretu unveils her first design concepts for the 20th BMW Art Car, blending her artistic vision with a passion for automotive design and speed. Her dynamic artwork, originally created in two dimensions, is transformed onto the three-dimensional canvas of the BMW M Hybrid V8 racing car prototype. The result is a multi-layered masterpiece that will join the esteemed BMW Art Car Collection, following in the footsteps of renowned artists such as Roy Lichtenstein and Jeff Koons. The 20th BMW Art Car will make its official debut at the Centre Pompidou in Paris on May 21, before hitting the track with starting number 20 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 15/16, 2024.
