Orlen Synthos Green Energy (OSGE), Aecon, and AtkinsRéalis have signed a cooperation agreement in Warsaw to accelerate the small modular reactor (SMR) program in Poland using the BWRX-300 GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy technology. The document emphasizes the critical importance of acquiring knowledge directly from the companies implementing the reference project in Canada for OSGE and its project in Poland – allowing to gain experience from the construction phase and develop a model for the Polish project. The meeting was attended by Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion, and International Trade of Canada, as well as J.E. Catherine Godin, the ambassador of Canada to Poland.
