BERLIN, 22 października 2024 r. (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Wiodące europejskie forum biznesowe i dyskusyjne w globalnym sektorze bioplastików, Konferencja Europejskich Bioplastików (EBC 24), właśnie wydała swój program. Konferencja odbędzie się 10-11 grudnia 2024 r. w Berlinie i online, gromadząc liderów branży, innowatorów i ekspertów, aby dzielić się wglądami w najnowsze postępy w dziedzinie bioplastików.
The first part of the event will focus on the key policy factors that are shaping the bioplastics industry. It will begin with a keynote address by Kristin Schreiber, Director of DG GROW at the European Commission. Theodora Nikolakopoulou, Policy Officer at the European Commission, DG GROW, will then present perspectives on biodegradable polymers within the context of the EU Fertilising Products Regulation. Following this, Rhodes Yepsen, Executive Director at BPI, will discuss the importance of aligning policy, standards, research, and compostability claims in response to the Global Plastics Treaty. In the afternoon, the latest data on the bioplastics market will be shared, along with insights into policies and regional market trends in the Middle East and India by Marc Verbruggen, CEO of Emirates Biotech. Lastly, René Bethmann, Senior Innovation Manager at VAUDE Sport, will provide perspectives from brand owners on biobased and bio-attributed plastics and their innovative implementation.
Join us on 11 December for a discussion on the environmental impact of biodegradable and non-degradable polymers, as well as the findings on biodegradable mulch film and the applications of biobased plastics. Miriam Weber, CEO of Hydra, Patrizia Pfohl, Lab team leader at BASF, and Christian Bonten, Head of the Institut at IKT Stuttgart, will be sharing their expertise on these important topics.
There will be two free side events taking place alongside EBC24. One event will focus on recycling approaches and technologies in collaboration with EU-funded projects in research and innovation on 09 December. The other event on 12 December will celebrate the successful completion of the EU-funded project PRESERVE: The Bio-based Packaging Revolution.
