Yanfeng has chosen to incorporate TactoTek’s Injection Molded Structural Electronics (IMSE) portfolio into its global Smart Cabin business as a strategic move. The goal is to improve the user experience by providing advanced lighting capabilities and introducing new functional elements such as HMI, haptic feedback, and display integration.
By taking this approach, Yanfeng can stay in line with the latest trends in the automotive industry, such as autonomous driving, and also focus on addressing non-driving related tasks (NDRTs). This will ultimately shape the future of Smart Cabins and redefine the driving experience.
Our collaboration aims to revolutionize the in-vehicle user experience by seamlessly integrating lighting into all surfaces of future car interiors. The IMSE technology brings a fresh design approach and styling principles, allowing for slim, compact configurations and unconventional shapes.
“The partnership with TactoTek is a great addition to support our global technology portfolio for future Smart Cabin applications and is designed for long-term engagement. Together we can offer innovative and integrated lighting solutions tailored to our customers’ needs in the automotive industry,” said Patrick Nebout, Chief Technology Officer at Yanfeng Technology. “By combining our expertise, we can accelerate design and development activities, providing advantages for our customers along the entire value chain.”
