OBERKOCHEN, GERMANY, 19 December 2023
During fiscal year 2022/23 (reporting date: 30 September 2023), the ZEISS Group achieved a historic milestone by surpassing 10 billion euros in revenue for the first time, representing a 15% increase from the prior year’s 8.8 billion euros. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) also saw growth, reaching 1.7 billion euros, up from 1.6 billion euros in the previous year. Despite a challenging market environment, all four segments of the ZEISS Group contributed to this impressive growth, demonstrating the company’s dynamic revenue growth.

We are doing this by investing huge sums in our further development,” said Dr. Karl Lamprecht, President and CEO of ZEISS. „Our success is based on our distinctive innovative strength. To ensure this continues, we have invested 15% of revenue in research and development, personnel development, and infrastructure – more than ever before.”
