Wydarzenie to innowacyjnie połączy sztukę współczesną z ochroną klimatu, prezentując, w jaki sposób kultura może przyczynić się do zrównoważonej przyszłości. Główną siedzibą festiwalu będzie KunstHaus Wien, które niedawno przeszło gruntowną renowację. Przez najbliższe miesiące miasto będzie obfitować w różnorodne wydarzenia tematyczne.
9.4.2024 Cologne (ots) | CIVIS Media Prize 2024 – The shortlist for Europe’s most important media prize for integration and cultural diversity has been announced, with 25 nominees selected. The candidates for the CIVIS Media Prize include submissions from a variety of media organizations, including Aamu Film Company, ACB Stories, ARTE, Deutschlandradio, electronic media school, La Fémis, Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, funk, France 2, HFF München, hr, MADE IN GERMANY Filmproduktion, MDR, NDR, RTL+, (SIC) Pictures, SWR, Undone, UFA Documentary, WDR and ZDF. For the first time, festival films were also eligible for submission.

In 2024, nearly 900 television, radio, and Internet productions were entered into the CIVIS Competition. This year marked the first time that submissions came from all 27 EU member states and Switzerland. The diverse productions addressed a range of important issues, including war, migration, racism, anti-Semitism, and the daily lives of people from diverse backgrounds and identities living together.
The award ceremony for the CIVIS Prize will be held as part of re:publica 24 in Berlin on Monday, 27 May 2024. The ceremony will be livestreamed on the CIVIS website and can be accessed in the ARD Media Library from 29 May 2024. ARD/Das Erste will broadcast the ceremony on Thursday, 30 May 2024, at 00.05 am, with other TV stations also airing the event in the following days.
Journalist and presenter Vivian Perkovic will host the 36th annual CIVIS Media Prize for Integration and Cultural Diversity in Europe award ceremony in 2024.
The CIVIS Media Prize for Integration and Cultural Diversity in Europe will be awarded for the 36th time in 2024, with individual prizes given in categories such as AUDIO AWARD, VIDEO AWARD, Young C. AWARD, and CINEMA AWARD. Additionally, the TOP AWARD, valued at 15,000 euros, will be chosen from the winners.
Starting today and running until April 14th, the public can participate in online voting to select the winner from six nominated podcasts (all in German) chosen by the jury of the CIVIS Media Prize. Visit the official website to cast your vote.
The 2024 CIVIS CINEMA AWARD will recognize a European feature film exhibited in German cinemas. From April 23 to 28, 2024, the public can vote online for their favorite film from the shortlist of nominees. Just like in the podcast category, the winner of the CINEMA AWARD will be determined by the public vote.
The CIVIS Media Prize is organized by the ARD, represented by WDR, in collaboration with the Freudenberg Foundation. Media partners include ORF, SRG SSR, ARTE, 3sat, phoenix, Deutsche Welle, Deutschlandradio, and EBU. Cooperation partners include the WDR mediagroup, the German Producers Alliance – Film & Television, VFF – Verwertungsgesellschaft der Film- und Fernsehproduzenten, the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA), the Open Society Foundations, and the Deutsche Postcode Lotterie.
