The Viennese auction house im Kinsky is set to unveil a rediscovered masterpiece of Austrian Modernism in an exclusive auction in April 2024. The painting, from the late creative period of Gustav Klimt, was previously thought to be lost, making its rediscovery a worldwide sensation.
Titled „Portrait of a Young Female,” this Klimt painting is a testament to the artist’s contribution to fin-de-siècle Viennese modernism and is sure to be a highlight of the upcoming auction.
The auction house im Kinsky in Vienna is thrilled to unveil this painting for the first time at a press conference. This work is unprecedented in its rarity, artistic importance, and value, and has not been seen on the art market in Central Europe for many decades.
