NIKE, Inc. Signs Historic Partnership Extension With NBA, WNBA and NBA G League Through 2037

Nike, Inc. (NYSE: NKE), the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) have announced a 12-year extension of their global partnership. This solidifies Nike, Inc. as the exclusive provider of on-court uniforms and apparel for the NBA, WNBA and NBA G League, and further establishes them as the leader in global basketball outfitting, merchandising, marketing and content.

NIKE, Inc. has announced an extension of its partnership with the NBA, WNBA, and G League, securing the rights to continue designing and producing uniforms, on-court apparel, and fan gear for the next 12 seasons. This commitment reflects NIKE’s dedication to enhancing the sport of basketball for future generations.

NIKE, Inc. and the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) have extended their group license agreement, solidifying NIKE, Inc. as an official partner of the NBPA.

This renewal builds on the eight-year global partnership formed in 2015, which included outfitting, merchandising, marketing, and content collaboration, making NIKE, Inc. the official on-court outfitter starting from the 2017-18 NBA season. NIKE has been a partner of the NBA since 1992, a marketing partner of the WNBA since its founding in 1997, and a marketing partner of the NBA G League since the 2017-18 season.

The NBA, WNBA, NBA G League and Nike are committed to expanding access to basketball for the next generation. This includes providing youth of all backgrounds and abilities with age-appropriate coaching, training, development curriculum, and playing standards through programs like Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA. Additionally, there will be a focus on creating resources to improve the playing experience for girls at all levels through Jr. WNBA and Basketball Without Borders (BWB).

NIKE, Inc. will also increase its presence at marquee league events such as NBA Global Games, NBA All-Star, WNBA All-Star, the NBA Draft Combine, WNBA Draft, WNBA Changemakers, NBA Draft presented by State Farm, NBA 2K Summer League, and NBA G League Fall Invitational.
